Multiple Streams

Hello there! So, here we are, Monday, July 30th 2018. More than half way through the year. What an amazing ride it has been so far. Got my new business Woodland Advisors, LLC launched, in the process of setting up 2 other businesses and have traveled to 3 states. I often say that it is critical to set up as many revenue streams as possible, because centralizing all of your income with one source (especially if that one source is a job), you are in a very vulnerable position. One centralized source of income can be disrupted at any time. I know it can be uncomfortable building a business or even a side hustle, but it is an important step in this new world we live in. Business, Tech, the…

Every business owner needs a team of trusted advisors. If you’re a business owner, you are used to wearing a lot of hats. No matter how successful you are, there are plenty of reasons to establish a professional network. In addition to exchanging contacts and referrals, there’s also the opportunity to share ideas and receive free advice from specialists in their field. Goal: Read 50 books in 2018

Each year I set a goal to read a certain number of books. My highest year so far was 2015 at 100 books. It takes a bit of work to make sure you stay on task reading that many books without disrupting other endeavors, but it is worth it. My love for reading was inspired by my grandparents. When I was in 5th grade, my sister and I were sent to live with my grandparents for a period of time. They introduced a level of structure my Sister and I weren't quite used to, and reading every single day was a part of that structure. My Grandfather in particular made me read some very complicated books as well as memorize words and definitions from the dictionary to help expand my…

Saturday, January 6th 2018

As we wrap up the first week of 2018, I sit at my computer going over this year's plans and goals. Listening to some music in the background, Chris Isaak to be exact and it is now snowing outside. I am always excited for the new year and look forward to what adventures may be in store, but I am especially excited for 2018. This is going to be a breakout year on multiple levels and as I have said in social media posts, I am "doubling down" this year. What I mean by that exactly is that there will be no holding back moving forward on anything I do. I have always been a motivated and goal oriented individual that loves action, but I feel like there has been…

My Predictions for 2018

2017 has been an amazing year overall. I pushed further with my life insurance business and made Executive Council, continued my multi-year study of the future implications of Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Artificial Intelligence, etc, traveled to a few different states for both business and pleasure, and built many amazing relationships. I have always been intrigued with what the future holds and how technology and the use of knowledge will shape it. This year specifically, I have dedicated hundreds of hours in deep study specifically around Blockchain technologies, Cryptocurrencies, their use and future affect in the world. I have read dozens of whitepapers, watched over 100 video presentations, interviews, white boards and tutorials, read thousands of Tweets and posts, read research papers, articles, and have spoken with many well versed…
